    Hey Guys,

    I've been having this problem for a long time and all the solutions on the internet are not working.

    I have a Xbox S console. It's completely new. I bought it in this January and I still have the warranty, but I was looking for a solution if it's minor.

    My Xbox controllers keep on flashing after connecting or syncing up with the console. I press the sync buttons on both the console and the controller, the find each other, the console stops flashing but the controller is flashing continuously. I tried the
    controllers on my friends console and they worked.

    The weird part is that they are somehow connected. When I turn my controller on, my console will turn on too. The controller won't turn off without taking out the battery pack. And If I turn my Console off while my controller is on and flashing, the controller
    turns off too.

    Please Help!

    How to connect a wireless controller to an Xbox 360 console

    If you want to connect a wireless controller to your console, follow the steps bellow:

    • First, you need to turn on the console.
    • Insert the AA batteries into the controller.
    • Now you need to turn on your controller by pressing and holding the center Xbox Guide button. You should check the batteries if the controller does not turn on. If it is a rechargeable controller, you’ll have to ensure that it is charged properly.
    • After turning on the controller, you need to press and release the connect button on the console.
    • You also have to press and release the connect button on the controller within 20 seconds to connect the controller to the console.
    Notes

    When the controller is connected, the lights surrounding the power button on the console stop flashing.

    You are allowed to connect four controllers to a console. Each connected controller is assigned to one of four positions and each position corresponds to a lighted section around the console’s power button and the controller’s Xbox Guide button.

    Also what type of connection on you using to connect you xbox to the tv? I know that if you are using HDMI and the console isn't sending the signal out correctly then it won't let any controller connect to the console.

    Unless it is connected to the internet in someway there is only one option to update it. That being the USB as mentioned above. Depending on how your parental controls are set he could still be connecting to LIVE yet not able to talk or play with others.

    I would return that HDMI cable. Sounds like a bum cable. Try connecting via component then connecting your controller. If that works then it's definitely a bad cable. If there's no connection between TV and Console detected your controller won't connect.

    mmmmmm, it won't even let me connect a controller. The Xbox controller gives the signal until I press the sync button on the xbox, at this point they both stop and the controller doesn't get connected. Before when I did have a controller, it wouldn't let
    me leave the error screen.
