    Console Shutting Down - Highly Reproducible


    So I have been having issues with my series X shutting down randomly (I thought) during afk events since I got it (downloading, pausing, going outside for awhile). When this happens I have to power it back on from the console. I have been troubleshooting with it these last few hours and tried multiple fixes.

    -instant on different times -cdc hdmi control off -wall outlets surge protectors -different resolutions Etc...

    I then figured it has to be a power or sleep issue. I went to Settings > Preference > Idle time "dim screen". I set this to multiple instances of time 2 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. After all these time limits when it's "supposed to dim the screen" my series X turns off completely during any time specified after the time hits.

    FYI- My Xbox never shuts down during gaming sessions or navigating menus so this isn't that issue.

    Xbox you might note this. It's highly reproducible on my end and I have watched it do it 5 times tonight at diferent time intervals. FWIW

    This is after a factory reset on stock OS.

    Buzzing Disc drive

    I had this happen to me yesterday - I shut the console down, did not play any games the whole time I was online.

    And then the drive just spun up like a top after I shut it down - but usually I shut my power strip off after I am done playing so it stopped when I did that.

    Can anyone post a youtube video of it?

    I am going to try to reproduce it tonight.

    Xbox Series X - No Controllers Connecting + Fix

    Hi,

    I have this every single time I connect my Headset. I can exactly reproduce the issue.

    If Headset is connected and I turn if the console, the console will turn on again and controller can not be paired anymore, no matter how often I try to connect/sync it.

    I HAVE to completely shutdown the Xbox by holding down the power button and just then it's possible again to re-sync the controller. It somehow gets out of sync when I shut down the console while headset is connected. (Steelseries Arctis 9x)

    It's obiuosly a bug which I can reproduce every single time. How can I report this?

    This is happening to a few of us on reddit. Its switching between youtube and other apps from gaming when the console randomly shuts down. Booting back up everything is fine but then it will randomly do it again when switching apps. Its something on microsofts
    end it seems.
