can umone help my sons computer is banned no explaination lot emails back but nt helped at alll e bought computer from argo the id nos ive givin r correct even thought hi cop till nt work o can sumone help pls AS it been 3 weeks now game tag is virtualclock406

Console Serial Number and ID

If you don't have access to the console right now though, you won't be able to get the ID#. With your new console it's a great idea to record it, and register your console here on xbox.com.

Feverish13 was correct on how to find the console ID# & Serial#. So select yes he answered your question.

The console ID can only be found in the Xbox Dashboard. The console ID is different from the console serial number.

Go to settings and select System.

Select Console Settings.

Select System Info. The console ID is displayed on the screen, below the console serial number (which is also displayed on the screen).

The Xbox 360 console serial number is located in three places:

On the front of the console, behind the oval USB door

On the back of the console, above the A/V port

On the System Info screen in the Xbox Dashboard (along with the console ID, as described in the previous section)

Oh, and as for how enforcement, or even the customer care team can track a console with the serial number is the serial number is tied to a console ID number, which is logged every time the machine logs onto Xbox live. That's how they track and then block
that IP. The police use the serial number to track it through places like Pawn Shops and retail trade outlets like Gamestop and the like.
