Console Returned from Repairs Damaged

Just wanted to make a quick post because im currently very disappointed with the service i have received

I sent my console away for repairs for a faulty disc drive having only had it for one week after xmas. I received the console back Wednesday 14th after opening it there was heavy scratching and scuffs all over the console. I immediately contacted customer
support after sending pictures and being promised two call back neither of which came im am still awaiting contact from somebody who is willing to help, so far all i am being told is i have to send it back again and wait 28 days for a replacement in my opinion
unacceptable after it has juat been away for 14 days and in total it was only working 5 days 2 of which services where hacked and down!. Several customer services members have lied and made false promises already...at this point i dont trust a word they say.
Now in limbo again for another 3 working days.

So thats the summary could write and essay after 2 hours of phone calls being lied to and passed around

Bit of a rant i know but ive been left with a sour taste in my mouth from the CS team.

Has anybody else received there console back damaged??

Xbox motor is stopping while downloading grand theft auto 5 on disc?

Actually that is your console laser that can't read the disc. This can be caused by different issues the disc is damaged or the disc driver is damaged. Try to play another disc and if it can play your gta5 is damaged, if it can't be played means your disc
drive is damaged and you should send that console for repairs.

Same, they always have a seal when they are returned from an official repairs centre. At least in my experience.

Having sent mine back for repair previously, the replacement received was in better condition than the one I sent. You realise that the console you have now is not likely to be the one you sent right?

Best thing I can suggest is that you pursue a further replacement. It seems that you've been unlucky in the lottery of replacements!

My honest guess is that the controller is shorting the console out, hence the red dot denoting a general hardware failure, when off and the controller is plugged in and then turned on. Check the USB port you are attempting to power the controller on with
and see if it appears damaged. Same for the plug end on the controller. Look for any frayed wires or exposed wires on the controller. Also look to see if the quick release is damaged in any way. I would advise to stop using the controller immediately because
if it is the controller some how shorting the console out, it can do further irreversable damage which would be more costly and irritating at best. If the controller does not appear damaged, attempt to return it to the store from which it came. If it's the
console usb that appears damaged, begin a repair order by going to www.xbox.com/support. Good luck.

Besides,any console that wasn't repaired by Microsoft would be banned from xbox live as self repair is a violation of the ToU/CoC.

This whole giving away damaged consoles thing was started by a fake video on youtube.

My console is being returned already . Regardless of what damage it has the free game should be offered .Damage is Damage . Microsoft suck
