    Console restarts after certain actions


    Up until a few days ago, my Xbox was working fine. Then one day, I guess maybe I went into Network too quickly, the console restarted, like with the green splash screen and everything. Once the restart completed, the console had forgotten my wireless network
    info, which is a first. Anyway, I went to put it in, and when I had the wrong password, it asked me again, after retrieving the correct password, I entered it and once the connection started to test the console restarted again. Thinking it was a fluke I went
    to the network app again...same issue occurred. I've power cycled, cleared cache, unplugged the console, even gone back to factory defaults. I'm thinking the only thing to do now is send it in for repair.

    Xbox App Crashes after a "while" and then when restarting it says "cannot connect to console" and then i have to restart the app and console. AFter a certain amount of time not sure how long because it varies anywhere from a hour to 3 the app will "crash"
    aka my character in game will continue doing whatever it was last doing (running into walls, shooting) and then i have to close the app. After doing this i try and restart and the app says "cannot connect to xbox" and i have to restart the console AND the
    app. if anyone knows why PLEASE let me know im at my wits end here.

    As far as I know you don't. Not 100% sure but I think it does it for you after certain actions.

    i found out that the prop is my harddrive but i dont know the propblem. I also found that it gives a click sound when it freezes.

    Lucky Demolish, unfortunately what your experiencing is a faulty hard-drive. The click sound is the header crashing into the side of the casing while attempting to look for a particular bit of information. Although your system is still fine, I would suggest
    backing up as much data as you can and purchasing a new hard-drive to avoid any further loss of data or system instability. Hope this helps.

    From what i can tell, it's a problem with the hard drive not being installed properly.
    support.microsoft.com/.../911152 Although it is possible that the power button or guide button is being pressed accidentally.

    If the hard drive isn't the problem, and buttons aren't accidentally being pressed, then the link above, which also tells you how to ensure your hard drive is properly installed, states that your console needs to be repaired. If you believe your console

    Keep in mind that accessing add-ons might require you to progress to a certain point in a game. For example, Destiny 2: Forsaken uses game levels to gate the use of certain expansion packs.

    We recommend signing out then back in from your account, then try accessing Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

    After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.
