Console Restarting Itself

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right section or not, so I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong area.

I've recently noticed an issue with my 360. Starting this morning, it randomly restarted itself after I turned it on, without me touching the button or doing anything with the controller. I thought it might be a one-time glitch, but then it happened
again while I was playing a game (XCOM: Enemy Within if you need to know).

I then gave it a rest for an hour or so to see if there was an issue with the system, and it seemed to work fine: Started listening to music through the Xbox media player no problem. But coming back after making a cup of tea, it was back at the dashboard:
It had restarted again.

I mention this on here because I've had no such problems in the past and it was working fine last night (up till 2am playing Assassin's Creed IV). So I have to ask: Could this be a minor glitch in the recent update, or maybe with the console
itself? Or is it something more serious?

It's working ok as I type this post, but I dare not play anything in case it happens again. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

To begin, what model is your console? Is there any dirt on the power button that you may have to clean? How does your console run? If you can provide more details on your issue, we can help you find out what the issue is and provide steps to resolve it.

 

Beeping noise and Console is restarting itself

My XBOX 360 console has just started to reset itself and every once in awhile it makes this beeping noise. Can someone please help me?

 

Have you made sure that all your power cables are not lose?
