Console receives power, lights up...then shuts off...

The Xbox one lights up, shuts off and reboots a few times until it looses power completely. I can tell that the Xbox looses power because I have an external hard drive plugged into the console which has an led that constantly blinks as long as the drive
is plugged in. Also, after loosing power completely, the power supply remains on but the light is orange. During the rebooting of the Xbox (Manually restarting itself), the power supply switches from white to orange as the console turns on and shuts down.
I've never even made it to the green screen. It began two days ago, the console just didn't turn on. I tried to reset the power supply...gave it a rest, still didn't work. Today I felt lucky, plunged her in...and had false success. The Xbox turned on, but
upon its start up I received a message about keeping the ventilation uncovered and keeping the Xbox in a cool ventilated area. I've never experienced this problem, nor do I had my Xbox in a non-ventilated area. After moving on, I thought all was fine...and
then my dreams were crushed; it shut down. It hasn't done anything other than try to turn on and manually restart itself since. I cannot use the controllers to power on the Xbox, and sometimes the light doesn't even turn on when I press the power button! But
strangely, the Xbox still makes the initial power on sound. PLEASE HELP! I've had xbox 360 since 2006. I've had to ship 2 or 3 xbox's back to you guys over the years and I'm still loyal! I desperately need help...customer service....I need to contact somebody.

My XBox turns on, but the rf receiver lights don't turn on.

This happens every once in a while if my xbox doesn't shut off correctly.

The four lights and center power light on my XBox 360 Slim won't light up when I power up the console.

I've found that this means my RF-Receiver isn't turning on, which in turn isn't allowing me to connect any wireless controllers to it.

If you have any suggestions please tell me.

All I found that fixed it was just to let the console shut off on its own. It usually would take a while to shut down then would work after that happened.

I've so far not seen any threads or situations where anyone else has had this problem.

hello there have you tried power cycling console off hold the power button on console itself until shuts off leave off also unplug router for 30 seconds then plug back in. Once the lights n router come back up then turn on console, connect and try game again.

Sorry you're having this issue with your console. This may just be an issue with the power supply malfunctioning, which is much cheaper to replace than the console itself. Do you have a friend or family member with a known good working power supply that
you can test with? If not I would try the troubleshooting steps here, and if it doesn't work then requesting a new power supply at the
service center here.
