Console randomly spouts 'german' at me?

I decided to plug my xbox in for the first time in a long while. Booted it up and it gave me the 'try gold for free' message.

Out of curiosity to see what games it gave you, I clicked it.. to only be greeted by the 'try gold for free' screen in german, offering a price of 'euro's.

Except.. my system is set to canadian, english. Absolutely nothing that I can find even mentions german...

So, the 'try gold' is german for me now?

anyone have any hints/idea's?

What games do you wish you could play on your console instead?

I think Company of Heroes would be great on a console!! I especially like playing the German side every time I am done playing the missions. The Germans had a lot of weapons and you are left wondering why they had lost the war.

Hello!

I advise that after so long you start the xbox to data from the factory as if it were the first time you turn it on and start to set it up again, if your xbox has configured your region as Canada you would have to go there, not in German.

I bought this IN GERMANY from the GERMAN STORE with a GERMAN console and a GERMAN-IP, which i was not supposed to !!!

The only thing is that the code was a french one. Nevertheless it was redeemed in Germany

NOT OUTSIDE GERMANY !!!

German console, german account, german language, german store !

Everything German and it DID work ! But it shouldn´t have. I should not have been able to find that game.

I doubt the German Privacy Commission wouldn't just make a statement like this without extensive fact checking, just saying. I know they say you can power the thing off completely but you also can't power off your console completely as it apparently will
always run in that low power state for whatever reason they haven't stated yet.
