    So this morning I was in the living room and the series X was off but I could have sworn I heard the power jingle but only quieter. I figured it was just my imagination. Now this evening I just heard it again from the other room and it's shutoff in there. My console must be haunted.

    How do I turn off the jingle when I turn on/off my Xbox one?

    You're correct, the jingle came with the last Update. Prior to that, you could only get the jingle sound by physically touching the touch sensitive power button on the console. I think it's ok this change but for some they may not want it.

    Dealing with customer support. TV will not recognise Xbox one and other issues.

    No response attempting hard reset. Pressing the power button does nothing. Not even the little jingle sound. Yanking the power cable is the only way to kill it
