    About 50 percent of the time my console shuts off completely after I start playing. **** me off. I have unplugged everything to reset and it still happens. ****?

    xbox one needs updating offline flash drive installs 100% but stops at applying update

    xbox one installed update but stopped at 57% on installing now it when powering off wait of 60 sec and powering on it starts to install where it left off.

    The original Xbox One has a capacitive touch power button on the console, so it's not an actual button, so just to be clear, it would need a capacitive item to activate it and wouldn't work if you're wearing gloves or something. Was it working before,
    or has it never worked? IHave you tried if anyone else can turn it off/on with the power button on the console? It's potentially a hardware issue that might need to be repaired by
    Microsoft Device Support    , but a bit more details on what's happening, and when it started happening might help.

    Offline definitely won't work, for the reasons mentioned previously. Try this ...

    With the game disc in the console, power-cycle it. Press and hold the power button on the face of the console for several seconds, holding it down until the console powers off. After it sits off for about 20 seconds or so, restart it. I've seen this happen
    before where the game starts installing as soon as the console powers back on. Hope it works!
