    xbox one needs updating offline flash drive installs 100% but stops at applying update

    xbox one installed update but stopped at 57% on installing now it when powering off wait of 60 sec and powering on it starts to install where it left off.

    Console powering off

    Mine did the same thing last night.

    Now when I say "Xbox Off" the power button flashes 3 times before turning off and I can't remember if this is what it used to do.

    Hello Taynever,

    Take the game completely out of the console. Once out then Power cycle the console (hold power button until the console shuts off) once off, completely unplug the console from the wall and console. Wait 15 minutes plug it all back in power the console on.
    When the console fully powered up and on the home screen insert the disk and see if the game starts to auto install.

    Offline definitely won't work, for the reasons mentioned previously. Try this ...

    With the game disc in the console, power-cycle it. Press and hold the power button on the face of the console for several seconds, holding it down until the console powers off. After it sits off for about 20 seconds or so, restart it. I've seen this happen
    before where the game starts installing as soon as the console powers back on. Hope it works!
