Console powered up, but no video out and controllers not linking after recent game install

Just bought a new copy of FarCry Primal. I installed it with no issues. Went to play it and the system hung. Waited several minutes and decided to power down and back on; afterwhich the console stopped sending signal to the TV and the controllers are also
just blinking(no connection). I tried a power down and unplug. I also tried a reboot with the snyc button and eject button depressed. I haven't gone to the next step which is a USB drive wipe and install of the OS. One, I don't know which OS to install. Two,
I would like to keep my kids game saves. There is a significant amount of time that went into playing and building up stuff that will be lost if we are not able to restore, which pretty much ruins the game(I'm referring to Fallout 4). Any other suggestions?

No video from console when powered up

Just bought it and used it for 6 hrs playing Ghosts and then a movie. Powered up in am and no video. Yes swapped cables, plugged into other TV's still searches for video.

Reading lots of other people with the same problem. Isn't even a day old and *** the bed!

Sorry to hear about the blank screen. Have you tried rebooting the console? Here is how:

• While on hold the on button for 5 seconds till it powers off
  
• unplug the power source and wait 5 seconds
• Plug it back in and power on the console again.

Reach back and let us know what you find.

blank screen troubleshooting and the

Thank you for the suggestions, Mister Cizl. I went to your links and was still unsuccessful getting her fired back up. The console will power up and power down when holding the icon button. The controllers will not link up. I only have two and I have tried
both. I have powered off the brick and tried and re-tried various combinations suggested in the troubleshooting protocol. Tried different HDMI ports, cables, etc. I have not tried a different TV, but the fact that the controllers won't link tells me this is
a problem with the console, not the TV. I guess the next step is USB. Since I can't see the system info to verify the OS, I will do the two step wipe. Is there anyway to restore or save the game saves? Any other recommendations. If the OS restore doesn't work,
can I take the unit to a Microsoft store, or do I have to mail it back for repair? This is frustrating, btw!!

 

Hey L1ttl3J4c0b001! All of the game saves are in the cloud by default so after the factory reset you should be able to reinstall the games and have the saves sync back. If you continue to have issues you can take it to a Microsoft store and they should be
able to help with further steps. Post back and let me know how it goes!

Off line update failed to take. I am guessing hard drive failure of some sort.
