    Console power on problems

    Hello.

today i had a problem with my console or PSU and i dont know witch one has the problem so i know witch one to change

i will explain what happend maybe somebody else had a similar issue and knows witch one broken psu or console

So i left my console powered on on home screen for a couple of hours and the tv powered off and at some point i heard a popping sound like a ballon popped

and a smell of burned plastick and the fan from console started to run at full power, the led from power button was off i unplugged everything from power left it like 20 seconds like this, the console didnt smell at burned plastic or the fans that runed
at full power cleared the smell but the PSU had a smell of burned plastick but not very noticeable.

I plugged the PSU on power supply but didnt plugged it on console and the PSU stays with green power led on not orange as it should be i think if is not plugged on the console and the fan from PSU on, it acts like is connected to the console and the console
is in standby. When i plug the PSU to the console the fans from the console starts to run again at full power and the power button doesent work.

Now anyone had a sminilar problem and knows witch one is blown off the console or PSU?

    :)

Bringing US Xbox to the UK

You will have to use the same generation power brick on the console but they will work fine. I use the same power brick on the japanese and PAL console as the NTSC. I have an older japanese and pal console that havent had any problems as well as a slim
of each that have had no problems on a NTSC power supply.

    Contact buttons not working.

The console is plugged into a power strip, no recent power problems and the light is on and white.

Ok. I opened the PSU case and i can tell it is fried, there is a black burned part on the main board of PSU, now i still cant tell if the console too is broken because i cant explain why when i connect this PSU to the console the FAN from the console starts
to run like crazy at full power. Maybe it is a precaution measure if the console feels some power anomaly from PSU or is fried too?
