  1. Console not connecting to Wi-Fi

Hi. After a recent update I'm having problems with my Xbox One connecting to Wi-Fi. It first began last week when the console lost connection and when I tried to reconnect it did not show any networks in the list and when I did a connection test I got a
message "There is a hardware problem. Sorry, the wireless network hardware on this console is not working. I will need to be sent in for repair". The following day that message did not appear when I tested the console. Now the console does not automatically
connect to my network so I have to manually connect to it and enter my password. The connection only last several minutes before it is lost. When I try to reconnect again it will not connect, even though the password is right.

I've already tried a few tips that I came across in similar posts, like changing the console name and unplugging the power cord etc but they had no effect. Any thoughts?

I tried to do an online chat with Microsoft support but it keeps telling me "Chat not initialized".

    :)

  3. unable to connect xbox console to wi fi again.

Ever since I had to adjust something to connect my I phone to wi fi... my xbox connection to wi fi has been dislodged. The wi fi router company that I dealt with - guided me through each step to get my phone connected, but has now caused the xbox to not
be connecting to the wi fi configuration. Please help! I am not so computer savy to be able to figure this out on my own.

    Console not connecting to Wi-Fi

    Hi there,

just to be sure, please try these steps.

Press and hold the power button on the console for at least 10 seconds until you hear the console powering down, after that check what happens on the power supply light, it may blink once or twice but eventually it should turn and remain orange.

When it is orange be sure to wait at least 30 seconds before powering the console on again.

I've had a similar issue before with wireless not seeing any wifi networks and this has solved it for me.

    Let us know the results

Side note: Regarding the Microsoft Support chat, try another browser to see if that helps

  5. Thanks. I will try this later when I get home. This issue only began recently after the update.

I did manage to speak to someone from Microsoft via chat earlier but their response was "What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?" I didn't know there was a list of steps I was supposed to take Microsoft! The console sure enough didn't give me a list
of steps to take. It simply said your console needs repair, follow a link. And when I follow said link it tells me to chat to Microsoft Support #raging

  6. Tried the tip suggested above but it did not fix the issue. The same thing happened as before: I can connect initially but shortly afterwards the connection is lost and I can no longer connect to my network without restarting the console.

    Xbox 360S haven't got a Wifi Module?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    Good afternoon

If your console is not recognizing the Wi-Fi module, there may be a hardware issue with the console's Wi-Fi component or antenna. The Xbox 360S model was released with built-in Wi-Fi capability, so it should not require a separate Wi-Fi adapter to connect to wireless networks. Check to see if any cables or connections are loose or disconnected. Unplugging the power cable from the back of the console, waiting for 10-15 seconds, then plugging it back in and turning on the console. Check your router's settings to ensure that it is broadcasting the Wi-Fi signal and that the security settings are correct. If your console still cannot connect to Wi-Fi, you can try using an Ethernet cable to connect your console directly to your router.

    Multiple Xbox ones

It is a grat speed. You will be just fine. Be sure to connect boxes by cable. It is always better then wi fi, more stabile and reliable. Do you have enough connections on your router to plug both consoles in? If not, rather buy additional connections than
to use wi fi. But if you want, use wi fi.

    connecting xbox 360 to internet

If you look through your console settings you will find the Wi-Fi options under network if the console is capable of connecting to Wi-Fi.

    From dashboard - settings - system - network settings - Wi-Fi

If you do not have these options then the console may be one of the original models with Wi-Fi capability and would require a dongle adaptor.

What is the manufacture date of the console? it will say on the data sticker on the back of the machine

    Hope this helps

Xbox 360E console won't connect to wireless network

    Hey r c takedown.

    -

This is definitely a Wi-Fi signal issue (your console isn't getting enough Wi-Fi signal to maintain a stable connection). The clear indicator of this is that connecting via ethernet cable doesn't give you any problems.

    -

To improve Wi-Fi signal, you'll need to do one (or both) of these things:

    1. Move the console and/or network hardware to increase line of sight between your console and your Wi-Fi router..

    2. Turn off other wireless devices to minimise Wi-Fi interference.

    -

If neither of those help (or if you're unable to move your console and/or network hardware), just stick with the wired connection. You'll have a more stable Xbox Live connection (particularly for streaming video and online multiplayer) if you connect via
    ethernet cable anyway.
