    Console Never Works Properly


    Hello,

    I have been extremely disappointed in the performance of my Xbox One. I recently purchased it on Black Friday, 2016, and since it has continued to glitch when starting up, have connection problems, and spontaneously freeze. When I spend $300 on a machine,
    I expect it to work much better than this.

    I am not aware if these are problems for other users, but it is ridiculous to have this modern machine act up so frequently. It only runs smoothly about 50% of the time.

    The reason I am so disappointed, is that I have had my original Xbox 360 for well over 10 years and it functions much better than this modern, new(ish) console. If these issues are inherent within Xbox consoles, I will have absolutely no problem devoting
    my money to Playstation. No problem at all.

    Please respond with ideas on how to improve the performance of my Xbox.

    BF3 CD can't read stuff on my USD key.

    Hey there Charlus! Can you clarify that the disc only doesn't play when using the USB device, or does it never play on this console? Does it play in other consoles properly? Do other game discs not work properly on this console as well? Let us know, thanks!

    Have you tried updating the firmware on your controllers? Plug your controller (with headset) into the console with a USB cable. Press the Menu button. Go to Settings...Devices & accessories...pick a controller. What does the Firmware Version say? I
    think the current version is 1.1.2228.0. The last menu option should be Update. If you already have the current firmware version it should say 'No update available'. Check each controller.

    Hey, guys! Sorry to see that there are issues with your controller! This thread is a little old. If updating your controller doesn't work like Otto suggests, please post up a new thread detailing what you've run into and troubleshooting you've completed.

    I have quite similar issue. The console doesn't freeze but the controller doesn't work, the voice commands still work. Xbox support told I should replace my controller but I feel like most likely feel it's a problem with the console. HELP
