have not been able to log onto x box live get error telling m to go to live.com. i have not been able to find the issue. Thank you

You will have to choose the option to Join Xbox LIVE and create a new gamertag, otherwise you will lose everything.

If you want to use your email address from the "dummy" account, you will need to change it to something else, as that will free up your email address to use on your main gamertag.

you need to recover the account to the master account's console to be added

then he can recover it back to his console if it is a xbox live account

if it is not a live account it has to be promoted to a live account by joining xbox live

Yes they can.

They will need to have separate accounts but you can get away with only one live account.

Not sure how the account is setup now but you should do some reading on the Xbox home console option. If there is only One live account set one console as the home console (defaulted to first console account logged in on) and anyone on that console gets
the benefits of the account. The person using the live account logs in on the second console and will have all the benefits of the live account.

Nothing can he transferred between accounts. If you just added the time, you could call support to see if they can cancel it and give you a token for the remaining time so you can add it to the account you want to use.
