Console keeps turning on by itself?

This a known Issue and MS is working on a FIX.

For Workaround set it to Energy-Save mode.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. If you haven't done so lately, go ahead and unplug your console and then spray a soft, clean cloth with a household cleaner. Wipe down the front of your console and be sure that you don't have any fingerprints hanging out
over the power button. If that doesn't help, go ahead and double check that you aren't in

instant-on mode. If you are in energy-saving mode, go ahead and switch to instant-on and then

power cycle your console. Once you've done that, go ahead and toggle back to energy-saving mode and power cycle again.

Hopefully that does the trick so let us know!

My partner has this problem with his Xbox. But It can't be anything to do with the wall power as when I plug mine in it seems alright. It isn't to do with the controllers as we've even taken the batteries out. Noone else has any
plugged in and it is always when he turns it off [the power pack stays green or quickly switches to orange then back to green]

I googled it, but many people saying they have the same issue but noone able to answer.

I will try his power pack in mine and see if it does the same to mine.

I will switch all of his stuff he uses for his over from mine and see if it effects mine or helps his and let you know. Sorry I can't be of much help, but I hope someone finds the answer soon as it is very common it seems.

I've found the S models button is extremely sensitive and only requires a brush to open the disc drive. I've had to move mine since my dogs would walk past it, brush the button with their tail and turn my console off. Make sure there is nothing in front
of the unit that would potentially touch the power button.
