Console keeps restarting "missing features or corrupt"

Console keeps restarting "missing features or corrupt" every time I try to access storage devices or account management; it seems to ask restart after I perform 2nd or 3rd action ( change or select another category) I also get missing memory
device message and then restarts too. I have no problems playing a game when CD inserted.. Issue only occurs when in the menus... I also can not download games correctly either to memory usb (and I do not have a hard drive on my
4 gb slim) After multiple restarts , I may get get lucky and can access the storage to clear system cache and that does nothing issue remains.. I have removed all my Usb sticks and no change. I updated from support on to
a cd and updated that way (update installed) problem still remains... The other thing is my avatars and few boxes on Xbox start up screen are missing or slow to fill in as well.. Any ideas other than it sounds like the xbox
needs to be repaired????

At first it wasn't letting me do anything, so it was the system, not the disk. What I did, and this fixed the problem, was delete any game, app, video, etc data that wasn't in use anymore, corrupted, or nay, delete the update, install one on the flash drive,
extract that three times, let it run on my little brother's random game, and see if it froze after five minutes. It worked off of live. I then let it sit for a day so that live wouldn't crash my system with people flooding the servers with their holiday gifts.
It was okay, and then I tried it with Black Ops. Worked perfectly, until I got to one section of the campaign, when a scratch on the disk froze the system. Repaired the disk and it runs smoothly now.

I honestly don't have a legit individual remedy that redressed my xbox's issues, but it's up and running smoothly now.

"Xbox 360 features missing or corrupt."

Hey Jelyfish. It's honestly sounding to me like an issue that needs a repair. Did phone support suggest that as well? One thing I'm curious about is if other games give you this issue, or if it's just Black Ops II. (I'm guessing phone support probably went
through all that with you if you spent three hours with them though.)

when i start it up it shows the xbox logo in the white background then comes up with a message that says some 360 features are missing or corrupt a system update is required to replace them then only gives me the option to restart the Xbox and then after
restarting does the same thing again.

I'm having the same issue, message reads:

"some Xbox 360 content is missing or corrupt. your console will now restart."

but all that happens is the console restarts, starts to update, restarts again and same message appears. It's a never ending cycle that I can seem to fix. HELP!!!

Damnit. That didn't work either. As soon as the update was complete the same message came up again.

"Some Xbox 360 features are missing or corrupt. A system update is required to replace them. Your console will now restart. If the problem persists there may be a problem with your storage device. For more info, visit www.xbox.com/support."

At this point, should I try Formatting my hard drive?
