Console keeps asking if I own a game

Can any body tell me why my console keeps asking if I own a particular game even though the disc is in the damn drive??!!

Won’t recognize disc

console won’t recognize game disc or blue ray but will play a dvd or cd on first try every time I hook it up to on line it won’t read any thing and keeps asking if I own game or app it is getting very aggravating the console is a day one edition what can
I have done to fix problems

 

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. The drive may be failing which would need a repair but there's a couple of things you can try.

1. Power cycle the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down

2. Factory reset the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so no need to worry about reinstalling

3. Last resort and not recommended as it could scratch the disc. Hold the disc for 2-3 seconds after the console grabs it. This would force the drive to spin up.

 

I am having the same problem. I have a digital download from Microsoft. paid $59.95 at the store. now it asks me if I own the game and it has the price of $39.99. can Microsoft let me play my game and refund me 20 bucks??? and help is not available and
my internet is working per this message. this is a continual problem playing my farming simulator and it is too cold to go outside and my wife died a few months ago so I can't chase her around the house... chas
