Console is connected to internet, but will NOT connect to Live

I have tried everything. Restarting modem, router, and console. Manually and automatically entered connection settings. Double checked I have a paid Gold Membership. I have even spent over an hour with Microsoft Support and still no solution. I just want
to play games with my friends. #Help

Console is connected to the Internet, but not Xbox Live!?!?!

Hi, what firmware are you using on the 615? As you are in an apartment building this usually adds more of a complication, who is your ISP and is the modem that your router is connected to located in your apartment or is it shared?

Console is connected to the Internet, but not Xbox Live!?!?!

I am having some serious issues with connecting to Xbox Live. First off, I am a Computer Systems Technology student, and have fairly decent knowledge when it comes to basic networking, so please don't tell me things like "restart your router" or "is your
    IP address set properly?"

I am using a D-Link dir-615 router, and a wireless adapter (but this issue also occurs when I am connected via Ethernet cable). When I do a connection test on my Xbox, it tells me that I am connected to my network, and to the internet.....but not to Xbox
Live! I do not have any firewalls set up, and I have manually opened all of the proper ports on my router 53, 80, 88, 3074. I seriously do not understand why this is happening, because I have played on Xbox Live for over a year in this apartment building,
and sometimes it will just randomly work.

I have also gone to Xbox Live and followed the instructions step-by-step on how to fix this issue, so posting a link to the Xbox Live support website will not help me at all.

Here is what is displayed when I click "status"

    W: 0000 - 0021

    X: 0000 - 000D

    Y: 0C8C - 0000

    Z: 0000 - 274C

    ID: FFFF - FFFF

Can somebody pleeeeease help me with this issue? I am getting extremely frustrated, and the NHL 12 Demo comes out today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    no internet = locked console

Erm.............................if someone doesn't have the internet, why would they buy a modern console?

    For awesome single player titles?

On the 360 if a game required a certain OS version then the game carried that update on the disc. It's a shame that companies can't go back to doing that but space is at a premium these days I suppose.

Achievements are linked to the cloud on the xbox one to prevent modding so you can thank everyone whos modded their Gamerscore for that.Yet the Xbox One hasn't been 'hacked' in the almost five years it has been out. So either Microsoft had no faith in the system
which has so far kept people from tampering or perhaps there is another reason.

People can be somewhat obsessed with earning achievements and they don't even popup when you are offline, you have a limited amount of storage for offline achievements. It's almost as if Microsoft want to make people go online where they can be exposed to digital
storefronts. That's just me being paranoid though.

Personally I think Achievements being cloud based is simply a hold over from when the console was going to require a 24 hour check in.
You mean those awesome single player titles that require major updates on day one, or major updates for content? you mean those single player games?

Unfortunately in this day and age games ship with major bugs, and the current mentality is to patch the bugs on day one, without internet those bugs will live forever.

    Black Screen

Usually given by a punctual failure of live. Try to disconnect the Internet console

Reboot the Internet Router and Xbox console.

    But I think it's just a service.
