Console Inconsistently Powering Off Soundbar

The power to the N1 Soundbar is in no way related to the power to the Xbox One console. If you want the Soundbar off when you turn your console off, you will just have to do this manually. If it automatically turns it back on, just unplug the Soundbar when
you're not using it.

Can I just check if your set up is the same as mine? Do you have a soundbar connected also?

My set up is console to standard HDMI port on Samsung TV and then Sonos soundbar connected to the TV’s HDMI ARC port.

Presumably your loss of audio is inconsistent also? As in, it works fine on power up and playing through an initial game but if you play for an extended period of time and then return to the dashboard, you usually then lose all sound on the dashboard?

The Xbox controls devices via Infrared signals only. So make sure that during setting up the controls on your Xbox console, that the soundbar really turns on and off.

Then also make sure that you tell the console in the settings that the soundbar should turn on and off when the console turns on and off.

It is really weird because when I say "xbox on" the cable box and xbox and kinect power up but the TV and soundbar don't. I switched the setting in the power menu so that TV toggles just to see if that had anything to do with it. I decided to power it
off by pressing the power button on my xbox which then toggles the tv and soundbar off. So at this point it seems to be sporadically working only when I press the xbox power button, my voice commands can work with the xbox but the power on/off isn't translating
to the tv and soundbar.

It really doesn't make any sense to me why this is happening, the only thing different in this whole equation is the HDMI and potentially the input source because I can't figure out which input I used to have it on

Figured out the issues, but not sure how to solve the problem:

The Xbox and Kinect are in a cabinet, So when I close the cabinet, even though the Xbox and kinect can hear me and power on/off the xbox the tv and soundbar still don't power on. Even if I shut off the kinect and close the cabinet and use the controller
the TV and soundbar still won't power on. However, when the cabinet is open the Xbox is fully functional, when it is closed the xbox is still functional with voice commands and the xbox controller, the TV and audio just don't power on/off.
