    Console has update


    I have an original xbox one. When attempt to go online it says I have an update time. I download the update and my system powers off. When I power it back on I get the same update time screen asking me to start update or skip and stay offline. I cannot
    get it to stop forcing me to start update and allow me login in online.

    The console should automatically turn back on after it powers off once it has finished the update.

    I'd leave it alone for a while and try again in a few hours, or tomorrow, maybe it's just one of those things.

    Have you tried doing a full restart on your xbox (holding the powerbutton until it shuts off)? I would try that first and if that doesnt work I would try selecting stay offline and basically factory reset the xbox (i would use the option to keep your games
    and apps downloaded)

    Found out a little more info. It says download complete. It verifies update then applys update and powers off as if everything has been updated. However I just checked under latest console update status and it says update failed.

    Could the cause be a slow internet connection?

    Any suggestions that might rectify the situation?
