Console has been crashing and freezing lately, kicking me back to the main menu

May I ask if an external hard drive is plugged into your console?

If an external hard drive is plugged into your console, please unplug it so we can determine what is causing this issue. Please do not plug in your external hard drive while we perform troubleshooting steps.

Please follow the steps to Power Cycle your Console:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Once done, kindly check if you will encounter the same issue. If the issue persists, please continue performing troubleshooting steps on your console.

Please follow these steps, but don't worry; you won't lose anything as long as your console is connected to the internet. Please be reminded that resetting your console will remove the accounts currently signed in on your console, but you can add them back, and you will need to set the account as Home Xbox if there are any.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and Keep my games & apps.

Once done, kindly check if you will encounter the same issue.

Hey! Thanks again! Yes i have, i did a total factory reset deleting all games too, about 3 times now, and still, i might just make an repair order on microsoft, and hopefully they can fix the issue, might be a hardware issue

Thank u, i have tried both of these methods several times, did it again hoping for the best, but once again. It crashed and kicked me back to the main menu.

Having the same issue,it starts up but as soon as i try and load a save it starts the loading screen freezes and crashes me back to main menu v_angry the disc is perfect
