Console freezes

I recently purchased Test Drive Unlimited 2 and after it was finished downloading, I loaded the game up and my console froze. It has done it every time i try to load the game. Does anyone have any idea on what to do?

Does your XBOX360 freeze?

My console does freeze. It freezes about once every two months, often during a weather extreme. The hot temperatures really cause it to over-heat and that is likely the impetus to the freeze. If I don't have the heat on and the unit hasn't been on or long it will freeze from time to time in those winter months.

Does this happen with all games? Or just some games? What happens if you remove the hard drive? Does the console behave the same, or does it improve?

 

Try this: Disconnect the HDD or USB flash drives

Turn off your Xbox console.

Unplug the HDD or USB flash drives attached to your console.

Turn on your console.

Turn it off again and plug in the HDD or USB flash drives

Turn on the console and try playing the game.

If that doesn't help clear your console cache:

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

Select Clear System Cache.

When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes
