Console freezes frequently only with one game?

Hey everyone,

So my older brother bought our original xbox 360 used from a friend at least five years ago. I just recently started playing Fallout: New Vegas, though he's played it many times before. The game constantly freezes after about forty/fifty minutes
of playing. Complete freeze, can't navigate back to the home menu, gotta just hold down the power button. I have already bought a brand new copy of Fallout: New Vegas thinking it was just a disc problem, but the freezing issue remains. I have also tried clearing
the cache. We keep the xbox in an entertainment stand, not surrounded by any clutter. Neither my brother nor I seem to have this constant freezing issue with any other game. Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

Only reasonI ask is I play games and it seems to freeze up frequently. The old one never did. I assume it is due to the heat it gives off.

I keep getting this code ( E1050000008007045D) more frequently now, plus xbox freezes when code is displayed on the screen. xbox one x is only 8months old.

Any help would be appriciated, cheers.

Hello,

Sadly this is a common issue and different people have different ways of fixing it. I will suggest a few below but I can't guarantee if they will help.

SOLUTION 1 :

Get to the freeze-inducing building (or other in-game trigger), stop before you enter it, "WAIT" 12 hours, make a new save, enter the building and it should load fine without freezing.

SOLUTION 2 :

If your using an old save, you may need to start over with a fresh new save. For some odd reason, that engine has a hard time making new patches work well with old saves. If you haven't played in a long time and just booted up your old save, you might need
to just start over.

SOLUTION 3 :

a) Save often as the game has trouble handling large amounts of data

b) Press the GUIDE button for an extended period to unfreeze the game - works for some

c) Ensure you have all updates and DLC loaded - then start a new game

d) Delete DLC > Clear the system cache > re-download DLC

e) Download a copy to the HDD

HOW TO : Clear System Cache

1. Remove profile - SETTINGS page (far right from home page), select STORAGE, then find your profile and remove.

2. While in you hard drive under GAMES & APPS look for any red or yellow icons with incomplete or unknown. Delete them.

3.Clear System Cache - SETTINGS page, select STORAGE and highlight a drive but don't select it. Press Y and select Clear System Cache. Agree when asked.

4. Be Patient - turn your console off for a full minute. This assists in resetting the console.

5. Turn on the console and download your profile - it is the icon next to 'create a profile'. Try again

hi there i had a same problem but try this and see if this helps:

go into system settings and go on your memory unit and clear system cache.

to do this press "y" on your hard driver or any memory unit

this is what i did, if it didn't work then i don't know,

Sorry for the late reply... System Cache clearing didn't fix it, as the only thing clearing the cache is good for is deleting all of your games' title updates, and unused/non visible downloaded files (much like temp internet files on a pc). What ultimately
fixed it was a patch from the game publishers, but it still hard freezes my box every once in a great while. Trying to play games on a system that were meant to be next-gen games is most likely the culprit. Oh well. I'll live with it for now, til the One is
lowered in price.
