Console crashes immediately after signing in.

On our new Xbox One, I can only sign in with my own (Live) account without issue. If I try to sign in with any of my children's accounts the Xbox crashes and shuts down immediately after the account is signed in. Both children have Microsoft accounts they
use to login to their computers and phones without problem. What could be causing the Xbox to crash on sign in with their accounts?

It has been send back to Microsoft, they have reset the box, but the problem still persists.

Signed out immediately after signing in

This problem started yesterday while I was playing dynasty warriors. It signed me out about 20 minutes after I started playing. The message the game gave me was about switching profiles and being returned to the title screen. Now whenever I try to sign in
to my profile I get signed out immediately. This happens when I'm on the dashboard and when I'm in game. I've tried resetting my network, hard resetting the console, and cutting the power to it. Nothing is fixing it

The process of removing my account and then re-adding it worked for me. I was having the same issue.

when you say full reset is that a full reset with format of the internal hdd, could be corrupted profiles lingering on the hdd, if it has been formatted then this is one weird issue and a call to support may be needed again, i have never actually heard of
this issue before.

 

I had to go though the whole initial setup. I don't know whether they done a format or a factory reset. There is no explanation or report on what's been done.

And I've just installed all the games again... Which I will have to do AGAIN if I format the hdd... Grr...

 

When you say new Xbox One I take it you mean you got it recently? If so I would take it back where you got it from and get a replacement

 

Yup, it's brand spanking new. Christmas present.

I've requested a support call from Microsoft. Hopefully they will be able to shine some light on this issue.

Online shop were I bought the Xbox refers me to MS for support....

 

online retailer is still responsible, there passing you off when they shouldnt, argue for full replacement

 

What happens if you keep your profile signed in, and you sign-in with a second profile, without signing yours out? Does it crash?

They are using Live profiles?

 

Just a theory that would depend on how the accounts are set up... but if the children have their own MS accounts, then wouldn't they have to be adult accounts? And if you added them under your Xbox One's Family section as your children, maybe it's trying
to apply child account settings to non child accounts? Hard to say without knowing how the accounts are set up on both sides, but a factory reset should be more than enough to sort out any possible glitch I'd think.
