Console Companion/Xbox App won't recognize I'm signed into my console.

Just to start, I play on an Xbox One and use Windows 10. So I usually remote play through my laptop just because it's easier to see the screen for me. But when I tried opening it up today, the console companion insisted I wasn't signed in on my console.

I double checked and I am definitely signed in. I tried restarting both the computer and my console and it didn't help. Even checked for updates on my computer to be sure it wasn't that. Eventually I even downloaded the app and tried that but it wasn't any more helpful. Trying to chat with/call support didn't solve it either, they ended up hanging up on me while I was restarting my laptop.

Anyone got any ideas for what I should try?

Would you please double check if you are connected with the same account on Xbox App, Xbox Companion App and your Xbox One console?

If you're connected on the three apps with the same account, please try this:

Go to Start > Settings > Apps & Features > Apps > Search for Xbox App and Xbox Companion App > Advanced Options > Repair. Do the repair for both the Xbox App and Xbox Companion App.

Restart your computer and login on Xbox App and see if you can use Xbox Companion App without this issue.

your list of games through the Xbox website? Was the free prepaid code from Mojang a trial for the game? We recommend signing out and

signing back in to the Xbox Console Companion app. Once you sign back in to the Xbox Console Companion app, go ahead and try launching the game. Be sure to let us know the results MEGALODON778!

What games are you trying to launch through the Xbox (Beta) app that won't sign you in to your account with the saved data?

Have you tried launching the games through desktop or Start menu shortcuts?

Have you tried logging into the Xbox Console Companion app with the account with the saved data? The Companion app connects you to Xbox Live and tracks your game progress when signed in through there so sign in and make sure you see your achievements from
the Console Companion app.

Do you mean sign out of the console companion app on my phone or is there a console companion app on my PC that I am missing?

Hello again, you need to hook up your Xbox to a regular TV or monitor first to be able to make these settings on the console, otherwise you won't be able to enable remote play so it can be recognized by the Companion App.
