    Console Companion Streaming New Issues


    I've been using the Win 10 Console Companion to stream from my XB1X to my PC recently. I won't comment on performance, but it allows me to do other tasks while doing casual stuff on the console. (NOTE THIS IS **NOT** XCLOUD)

    About two weeks ago we had a lull in console updates. I remember because my box stopped rebooting on me in the middle of overnight raids Console Companion Streaming New Issues :)

    At that time the performance was remarkably smooth.

    It seems that since regular updates have started again, I am getting really bad problems with my streaming. The stream has a big stutter semi regular intervals. When I pull up the bandwidth view (icon at top of screen looks like "options" icon), I see periods of steady data flow with large dips at about 30% of the time. So for every 3 units of time, 1 unit of time is at 0 data.

    Nothing has changed on my hardware side. Everything is hard-wired. My quality is set to "low." My data rate is about 3mbps during the normal functioning.



    I wanted to see if anyone else would chime in before I report this. There are so many variables, such as PC updates, that I felt it would be worth asking around to check for consistency.

    Is game streaming from Xbox to Windows 10 ending?

    I see the same message when loading up the console companion app and have had the same issue of not seeing the streaming option but I am still able to use the console companion app to stream.

    As far as them doing away with this option I have not heard anything like that.

    I don't have any options to stream in the new Xbox app. Had to reinstall the old Xbox Console Companion app to get it to work.

    You need to stream your console to your laptop (Has to have Windows 10) with The Xbox Console Companion app. Start the Xbox One, then start the Console companion app, then select the connect icon on the left side of the app, and your console should show,
    just select it, and select stream, that will then stream your console to your laptop.
