Console companion is gone, how to i display my Xbox onto my laptop?

You can't ever use a laptop as a direct monitor as raw hdmi is hdmi OUT not to mention any DISPLAY PORTS

I think you got the wrong device

Only desktops have input displays and that is only if you buy it with one bit its not meant for gaming

Monitors are meant for display not laptops

That said like sword said just like the companion app and most modern consoles remote play Is available usually thru an app in this case xbox app on Windows 10 and higher since the older windows no longer have support

The HDMI connection on a laptop is usually an HDMI out connection, meaning it can connect to another display, but not become another display.

The only way you could use the laptop as a display for your Xbox, is to stream the game from your Xbox, by using the Xbox Console Companion app on your laptop.

In order to get a display onto any monitor you would need to have an HDMI
in port so that you can connect to. In this case you would not be able to use your laptop as a monitor to display the consoles image.

You should however be able to stream over to a Windows 10 computer.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that.

Unfortunately you cannot plug in the Xbox One into your laptop and use the laptop as a display. Also there is no app or program that would convert the HDMI port on your laptop to an input source rather than an output source.

Your only option would be to use the game streaming through the Xbox Console Companion app. I would re over these two support articles on how to improve streaming:
