Console companion connection issues to XBOX

I am trying to stream my xbox to my windows 10 PC, but i cannot connect from the companion app error "we were unable to connect to your console. Make sure your console is still on and connected to the same network".

I have been searching for hours and tried many things including:

-making sure my time and location are the same

-changing my xbox name

-making sure the device connections settings are correct

-ive tried using the Beta version of the xbox app

-updating to the newest version of windows 10

-tried updating and reinstalling the companion app

-both are connected to the same network

-disabling game DVR

-disabling firewall

ive noticed the ip address of my two devices are very different and that when i enter my devices ip address it states the device cant be found.

ive just logged onto a different account on my PC and it linked straight away to my original account on the xbox......

hello, you have to let the windows firewall activate on the other hand if you have a personal antivirus it gets little that this one blocks the connection you should try to uninstall it and try again while letting activate the windows antivirus activate

Thanks for the help, but i still experience the issue. The xbox console companion app says my xbox online is connected and everything working fine but im still not able to connect.

Are you able to sign in on the Xbox Console Companion App or the Xbox (Beta) app? The Console Companion app has a section under Settings > Network (in the app) that will let you know the network status and if there are any issues connecting to Xbox Live.
Can you let us know what it says in there?
