Console Banning

I need assistance please, My 10 year old sons xboxone console was banned last week. I reached out to the live chat support team and was advised to check my email. When I did I found an email dated 8/1/15 stating that my son posted a video that was in violation. My
son is unaware of exactly his video violated, his videos are of him talking about the games he is playing on Xbox live or of him actually playing a game, but
he said he did not curse or threaten anyone or show any type of nudity. I have been trying to reach out for help with this issue. I do not understand how I was informed of the misconduct on 8/1/15 without any type of recourse to inquire exactly
what the offense was. And then almost 2 weeks later his console is banned. I seriously think there was an error made regarding banning my son's console. Please help me with this.

I blew 250.00 last night, please do. I'm already in student debt, I wanted XBL, so I bought some stuff, and get banned, now where is the good in that?

second, If I may provide some insight.

I do want to let you know that It is non of xboxs business or mine to know what your son did to get banned. If you happened to call the xbox support number and ask for help, professionally they will only take you to

Think about bans or suspensions as getting arrested, a bit hash of an explanation I know but hear me out.

I get arrested because of X reason, the reason was a crime. The reason why I got arrested was because the police had a warrant to do so.

Police had to get warrant from judge or higher power.

This power has the 100% certainty to investigate X crime.

They made sure I actually committed X crime.

Higher power approve warrant.

Police take warrant.

Find me.

I get arrested.

That's it. The enforcement team investigates the issue. They see something that mistreats the code of conduct or ToU (Terms of use) they WILL take ACTION with 100% certainty.

Other then that if you need more info on WHY this happened. Please consult those two links I provided as you will find ways to prevent this OR at LEAST find out some info about what actually happened.

Or sign into the website with his MSA and it should give you more details of the ban.

Contacting the enforcement team directly is an option, but an option. I cannot guarantee they will even give you any info at all, because they don't have to and they already did. If you happen to check you Billing email that was on the account IE a yahoo
or gmail ETC, then you will see an email from them stating WHY and that's about it.

Thank you all for responding to my question. I spoke with the support team again today and they advised me to go to enforcement history and click case review. Unfortunately I was unable to click on the Orange hammer as instructed. And there wasn't anything
noted under the Enforcement History or Enforcement date. I was advised to continue checking on that page.

I am looking to buy an Xbox one via private party. Is there a way to check the serial # of the console to see if it's stolen or banned? I checked on the enforcement page "console check" but the drop down menu doesn't have Xbox one as a choice. Any ideas?

 

There's no real way to tell if the console is stolen but if it's banned it will not connect to Live. Simply have the seller connect the console to ensure that it's not banned.

However, your best bet overall is to purchase new instead of used.
