Console Banned

If people hadn't kicked up a fuss about being incorrectly banned and that getting traction in the press, do you really
think Microsoft would have confessed to it off their own back? No of course they wouldn't.

Sorry but I find it incredible that people can go from "Microsoft don't ban for no reason" to "oh Microsoft accidentally banned for no reason" and then say again "Microsoft don't ban for no reason".

How do you know that the system, or an Agent, hasn't made a mistake? Do you really believe that the system or the people working with it are incapable of such things?

Telling people to post in the right sections is the correct thing to do. Being sceptical of any claim is exceedingly healthy. To blindly say though that Microsoft don't make mistakes, when they clearly have before, is foolish.

 

If the right thing to do is link the right place to post,why haven`t you done it??

I choose not to help possible call of duty modders,as i can`t stand them, thats why i don`t link the place that could help them.

I also hate those folk who try and ruin gaming for others. It's kind of sad though that even with the knowledge that Microsoft make mistakes, you instantly define every person as a liar.

 

I would be inclined to believe this person was banned for a reason and not just some mistake. It may happen but more often than not there was a reason and they only want to know 'why' or 'how' they got banned to not do it the next time. WoW does the same
thing with its banned messages. You wont know how or why you were caught just a generic reason to prevent people from circumnavigating the system

I firmly believe that most people who post on forums know why they've been banned. I see enough of it on the Steam forum.

The only thing I take issue with is those people who claim that Microsoft do not and can not make mistakes.

 

Dint think people were implying that ms doesnt make mistakes but 1 random person doesnt strike me as a mistake, generally when mistakes happen it happens to much more than 'just a few'

 

The thing is the only reason the incident in 2011 got any attention was that the media got hold of it.

Isn't it somewhere in the realms of possibility that just perhaps such a mistake happened before and didn't get any press attention?

After all, Microsoft don't make mistakes so why would anyone pay attention to those who say they have....unless they get a lot of press attention.

 

Not really, I dont see it in this case. Press or not there was an issue and im sure they would have corrected it to those affected. A singular account or even a handful is not likely to be a mistake. False positives are possible but highly highly unlikely.
Odds are not in favor in this case if any at all.

 

You are completely missing the point that the 2011 incident was an automated error that flagged consoles as modded,thousands of people got console banned at once,i don`t think their accounts got banned too,i may be wrong.

When people post here individually claiming not only has the console been banned but also all their accounts, there is zero chance the 2011 incident has happened again.

Yes they made a mistake in 2011,but would you honestly bet money that this guy is 100% innocent and has been banned in error??

 

I think we can assume the legitimacy of the ban by the mere fact the OP hasn't popped back in this thread to further proclaim his innocence.
