Console ban

I got a console ban because my friend changed his profile pic on my xbox to an inapropriate image please can i get unbanned as it is not my fault and i cant play any online games that i payed for for a whole month and christmas is in the ban time

What happens to your games if you get banned on an XB One

that is the same as it is now, if you manage to break the rules so badly its a lifetime account ban you loose everything jn that account.

for a modified console its the console that is banned, I think you have to involved in active game code hacking or account phishing or other be involved in nasty completely ruin live for others areas to get a perm ban for your actual gamer account, hey are never clear on why accounts are banned tho

 

Buying and setting up used XboxOne, will there be issues??

If the previous owner has been banned from certain online games, would this affect the new owner? As I understand such bans are for the whole console, so that the banned person cannot just re-enter the game using another sign in and email.

And so, if such bans were for the whole console, rather than single user, then it would no doubt affect the new owner.

 

Console bans are not issued lightly and would not have been issued just because of an inappropriate gamer pic. You can find more information about console bans here but
it is not possible to contact the enforcement team regarding them to have them reversed.

Sorry to hear that this is happening to you. If you (or someone with access to your profile) upload an inappropriate custom image it may be removed and replaced with the most recent Microsoft-created image that you used, and you will be prevented
from uploading any additional imagery for a specific period (typically 24 hours).



You'll need to take this up on our
Enforcement website as Support via phone, chat or forums have no way to take or change any actions made by the Enforcement team. You may be able to request a Case Review by them as well.

It sounds like it's a temporary suspension. Your friend would need to request a case review at the
Enforcement site and fess up that they did it without your knowledge. Barring that, I'd presume that you're out of luck until the suspension ends.
