    Console appears to boot but nothing happens


    When starting the xbox it makes the regular noises, yet fails to provide any screen or connect to the wireless console. It keeps making the usual sound until I pull the power plug, though I've waiting a long peroid before doing so a couple times. I was
    playing a game earlier and it gave some error message that went away again, and since then I've been unable to start the console. Anyone with an idea on what to do? It's a One S 500gb.

    Hi, thanks for your fast reply! I indeed meant to say it fails to connect to the wireless controller. The console itself is already plugged directly into the wall. It makes the regular startup sound when I press the power button, and I can hear the hdd
    spinning as usual. It all appears fine, except that nothing works xd

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information to ensure that we provide the correct solution. When you stated that the Xbox fails to connect to the wireless console; did you mean that it fails to connect to the controller?
    Does the power button on the console not light up anymore after you try to turn it on? Does it make a sounds when you

    try to turn it on    ? We suggest to plug in the console directly to the wall instead of a surge protector. Be sure to let us know the results!

    Yes, I've tried every step in the guide. Too bad, I was already afraid I'd have to send it in for repairs but I guess that is what I'll do.
