    Ok so ive got my xbox one set to update the console or any of my games automaticaly yet it seems every time i want to play a different game other than call of duty said game has to update. This is ridiculous its set to update AUTOMATICALY yet it obviously does not. Like whats the point of having my system set to update automaticaly if it isnt doing it? This is highly freaking annoying.

    Console will not update a game.

    A quick check or 2... do you have enough hard drive space for that game you are trying to download? Have you checked the "ready to download" list? The list is next to "installed games" in your games and apps.

    There is an initial update that is mandatory. After that update, you can go offline.
    Is that the Console update or game update? If it is the console update it is ok. But is there mandatory update for EVERY game purchased physically?

    Forza gets at least one update per month; if the console is requiring an update for the game then it must be an older version of this game. It's possible the console is refreshing after updating then detecting the game update.
