    Consistent random disconnects from Xbox Live


    This past week I got home for winter break from college and I was excited to try out my parents new upgraded internet connection on my Xbox 360. Back at school, I was having no issues what so ever playing Xbox Live on my connection there, provided by the
    same ISP. However, since I've gotten home I've had consistent, seemingly random disconnects from Xbox Live, ranging anywhere from allowing me to play for a couple of hours between disconnects or as little as 2 minutes between disconnects. Immediately after
    the disconnects, I am able to sign in again and it will even put me back into the Xbox Live party I was just in. I'm directly connected (wired) to the router/modem (2 in 1 from Xfinity) and my speed test confirm I am way above the necessary requirements to
    play Xbox Live. None of the other devices on this connection are having any issues at all. I've done the standard unplug everything - wait - plug everything back in method, I've tried clearing my system cache, even deleted and downloaded my profile again
    in case anything was corrupted, but nothing has worked. I can post anymore relevant information if needed. Thanks!

    I'm in the same boat. I've done everything, including set up port forwarding. I just got a new xfinity internet plan too... nothing has worked......

    Well, I'm have an xbox one. That works smoothly with any internet. I also have an xbox 360. And they internet on there, is very jumpy, And it cuts me off a game every time a friends jumps in. then the internet cuts out. So i think it might be Microsoft,
    Having a bit of a trouble with the 360 servers.

    I would really appreciate it if I could get some feedback on what to do next because I am still having problems enjoying a service that I've paid for over the past 6 years!

    ITS THE COMCAST EXFINITY TECHNICOLOR WIRELESS GATEWAY. I have been dealing with for over 3 weeks. The random disconnects from big online games and xbox live started every once in a while. Then it got progressivly worse. I online chatted with game support,
    xbox live and comcast (my internet provider). I talked to support from xbox live and comcast several times. One tech admitted that the technicolor gateway is malfunctioning. I had comcast come to my house for a service call. The tech installed a new technicolor
    gateway that could handle higher internet speeds and I got a higher speed enet package from comcast. The tech went around testing all my cables and connections and showed me the impressive speeds. I turned on my xbox, and it worked great. For about an hour......
    I unplugged that gateway this morning and was waiting at comcast when they opened at 8:30 am. I traded that piece of *** for an Arris model gateway. I havent had a problem in 4 hours. GO GET A ARRIS.....Stop pulling your hair out.

    Same problem here. Especially if I try to game online, I can only play a couple mins and get disconnected. Netflix does OK but I still get kicked from live about every 30 to 45 min watching movies. I did all the trouble shooting the support guys told me
    too and every thing I read online and still no success. Can anyone else help??

  11. The same thing is happening to me, but it is happening on Netflix sometimes as well. I also have a brand new Arris SBG6782 modem, so I don't think it is that or the internet's fault. I even tried setting up port forwarding and it didn't fix it. I really
