    consistent hard crashing in multiplayer games


    Me and a friend are in the alpha skip ahead build and we both started experiencing crashing at the same time, where the audio bugs and sounds horrendous, the guide cannot be opened, and the Xbox light flashes a few times before shutting off. The game can still be played for about 20 seconds before the Xbox shuts down. It is the exact same crash no matter the game, and it happens the most during overwatch, preventing us from even playing a full match before the crash happens. It has been a problem for around a week and a half and it's making me consider leaving the preview because of how often it happens and it seems that the problem isn't well known yet.

    Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Anyone have problems with games backing out to dashboard?

    Hard reset doesn't fix it for me. Games and apps crashing to dashboard consistently.

    I understand that you are experiencing crashing issues with your games on PC.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please update drivers. Make sure all your drivers (especially graphics drivers) are up to date. Visit the website of your GPU manufacturer (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD) and download the latest drivers.

    And then check for Windows Updates. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

    Next is to run as administrator. To do this kindly right-click on the game executable and select Run as Administrator.

    It is important to check for overheating. Please monitor your PC's temperature using software like HWMonitor or SpeedFan.

    Then disable overlays. Disable any game overlays (e.g., Steam overlay, Discord overlay) as they can sometimes cause conflicts.

    Please check event viewer. Open Event Viewer (press Windows + X and select Event Viewer) and look for any error logs related to the crashes.

    Kindly uninstall and then reinstall the game too in order for the corrupted files will be deleted.

    i Dont even get the chance to select if i want to transfer worlds cause the game actually wont load in and it will crash everytime. I see the game art with the steve skin and all the animals and creepers etc, thats as far as i get

    Can't say exactly what's causing your problem here but when I see stuff like this myself I do a 'hard reset' of my system. Hold your finger on the power button on the console itself for a few seconds. Usually fixes things for me.
