    Consistent Game Crash on Forza Horizon 5.


    Please help me.

    I have purchased a new Xbox Series S. I have set it up as per the manual. I signed up for Microsoft Game Pass and downloaded FH5. However, when I try to launch the game, I cannot get past the screen that shows the controls. I have: uninstalled the game and reinstalled it three times now; I have deleted the save data from the Xbox; I have tried using alternate profiles to launch and play the game.

    Please help, I am very close to restoring the console to factory settings and returning the console.

    Unfortunately, the problems still persist when launching the game. Sometimes the game 'sticks' and crashes immediately, or within a few seconds when it reaches the next loading page.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    Thank you for the quick reply. After following the troubleshooting steps I was able to download Forza Horizon 5.

    Unfortunately, I now am having an issue where the game is crashing consistently after it is launched. What can I do about this?

    Forza Horizon 5 crashes after leaving a building or story mission?

    Try running Forza Horizon 5 as an administrator. It fixed my random crashes.
