Connects to router but not internet

Here I was, happily watching some netflix, when all of a sudden my xbox drops the connection. It tells me I am not connected to xbox live. Tried to sign again to no avail. Went to test the connection failed between the router and internet. Had this xbox
360s for several years, never a problem. Internet is uverse, every other device connects and browses fine. I have tried everything from resets, to factory settings, to cache clearing, to manual network settings. I have done everything but hardwire it because
I don't have a cable long enough or a tv in the office where the router is located. However, that has never been an issue before so I don't believe it is now. I also tried a mobile hotspot and had the same issue. As I said, has been working perfectly fine
without even so much as a hiccup. Just happened in the blink of an eye. Error status report is as follows

We tried the procedure above and that did not help. This is so frustrating, our ISP said they are not blocking xbox

Xbox Live itself is down for most people worldwide, you will be able to connect to the Network but you won't be able to connect to either the Internet or Xbox Live. So it has nothing to do with your Set-up or Internet, I guess we just have to wait and keep
on trying to connect, but until then offline games it is XD

It seems it may have been hacked XO

Thanks for the input. It had me worried because my buddy that lives 5 miles away got on live just fine. And the website said all services were up and running. All seems to be working now tho.

Most likely there's a port blocked... ports can be blocked in your router, modem, or at your ISP. Since the Xbox 360 uses different ports than PCs & Macs use, you can't see the effect of a port blockage except on the Xbox. A sequential power cycle is the
first step in clearing a port blockage, and the order and timing of the steps is important to success:

1) turn off the Xbox then

2) unplug power from the router (Some folks have a combination modem-router AKA 'gateway' or only use a modem with no router. If either, skip steps 3 & 6).

3) unplug power from the modem.

4) Wait at least 30 secs then replug the modem (or gateway) power.

5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem (or gateway) which says ONLINE, READY, CABLE or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router. If you have a gateway instead of a modem and router or a modem with no router, then when that light
says it's ready, skip step 6.

6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.

7) Turn on the Xbox. For more background on Ports, see
