Connectivity problems on one PC but not another

I was having problems with games shutting down abruptly on one PC using Windows 10. So, I tried some of the suggested fixes such as uninstalling and reinstalling the games. They didn't help.

Then I started getting a Save File Error when open the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. When the collection opens, it doesn't connect to XBox and I am playing as a guest. When I attempt to connect it says that there is a problem connecting and tells me
    to go to

Microsoft - Official Home Page LinkID=808235

I have done that several times with no apparent effect.

The issue seems to be unique to one PC since I am able to play these games on my laptop using my ID.

I presume that my XBox app is corrupt but I don't seem to be able to uninstall it and reinstall it.

    :)

    Teredo does not qualify

When I launch the xbox application from pc gives me problems with the groups and, in the network settings, gives me the section "NAT type " give the errors "Teredo does not qualify" and connectivity server blocked. This gives me problems even on the Xbox
One, I can't connect to groups despite give me NAT open

  3. Problems Purchasing from marketplace

I have funds in my wallet but it won't allow me to purchase things due to "internet connectivity issues" however I am finding no problems with any of my games in terms of matchmaking or anything of the sort. It only says that when trying to purchase through
my xbox one and not through pc,

Connectivity problems on one PC but not another

    Hi,

It seems your Xbox app is corrupted or the drivers of your PC needs to be updated. To isolate problems with Xbox app, here is a link on
how to download and use the Apps Troubleshooter.

Don't forget to let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for your reply. I had already run the Troubleshooter and it suggested running a reset process. I tried that several times and it didn't solve my problem. This time I skipped the reset and the app ran another level diagnostic. This time it reported
that my Windows Store cache was corrupt and it could not automatically fix it.

Thank you for response, let us try to clear the cache and reset Microsoft Store on Windows 10. Here are the steps below:

    1. Close Windows Store app, if it’s running.

    2. In the Start menu search box, type WSReset (Windows Store Reset) to see Wsreset in the search results.

    3. Right-click on WSReset and then click Run as administrator option. Click Yes button when you see the User Account Confirmation box.

NOTE: If the WSReset utility is not appearing in the search result, you can launch the same from the System32 folder (Windows\System32). To open WSReset tool from System32 folder, please navigate to the drive where Windows 10 is installed (usually “C”),
open up Windows folder, and open up System32 folder. Here, you can find WSReset.exe file. Right-click on it and then click Run as administrator option.

    4. The Store app should now automatically launch along with the Command Prompt. The Command Prompt window will automatically disappear after a couple of seconds.

Update us if the issue persists.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I ran the store app as an Administrator. The Command Prompt screen disappeared as you said and after a short period, I was logged on to the store under my account.

Unfortunately, the problem persists. I get a save file error when the Solitaire Collection opens and am unable the same message when I attempt to log on to my account in the program. The XBox app itself sees my identify but the game app keeps me as a guest.

Thank you for updating us. If clearing cache and resetting Microsoft store does not work, we would suggest you try the following methods below:

    Method 1:

Let us try to re-register Windows Store by running the following commands in a command prompt window started as Administrator. Press Windows key + X and select Command prompt(Admin) then copy paste the below commands without quotes and hit Enter:

    1. "PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted"

    2. "$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest"

Note: Now check if it opens without any issues.

    Method 2:

If problem still persist, then I suggest you to add another Microsoft account by following the steps mentioned below and see if the problem persists:

    1. Click Start,
    2. Navigate to Settings/>Accounts/>Your Account/> Family & other users.
    3. On the right pane click Add someone else to this PC under Other users.
    4. If you have another Microsoft account try to use that or else follow the steps to sign-up for new and switch with new Microsoft account.
    5. Sign-out from the old and Login with new Microsoft account.

Note: Once you're sign-in with new User Profile, then please work around and check if it helps you.

Keep us posted the outcome to guide you with further troubleshooting steps.

    Thanks for your continuing suggestions.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that neither method corrected my problem. The new User had exactly the same screens as my other user identity.

The only option I saw when I right clicked on Powershell was "pin to start". So, I ignored that and opened the program. I ran for me and when I checked and Xbox was gone from the apps list.

After I re-installed Xbox, I tried it and the problem persisted. While Xbox was installing, I noticed a script saying "restoring user data" so I tried uninstalling all the games and repeated the Xbox uninstall with Powershell and the reinstallatiion. Still
    no joy.

I downloaded another version of Solitaire from the store and it runs OK.

Thank you for following up. For Windows Firewall on Windows 10 or Windows 8.1, see Protect my PC from viruses. The steps to unblock the game (or any app that needs to access Xbox
Live) will vary depending on the antivirus or firewall software you use. Refer to the documentation for your antivirus or firewall software to open the settings and make sure that the software is not blocking the app. If your antivirus or firewall has an app
"whitelist," make sure that your Xbox Live-enabled games are on this list.

Here are steps on how to check your NAT type:

    1. Click the Start icon and open the Xbox app.

    2. Select Settings > Network.

    3. Under Network status, check the NAT type.

Keep us in the loop if you need assistance in the future.

Connectivity problems on one PC but not another

    Thanks for the suggestion.

NAT type came back as Teredo is unable to qualify and the server connectivity showed as blocked. I went to the Teredo troubleshooting page and ran through the suggestions. NAT type now reads
Moderate. Unfortunately, the server connectivity is still
    blocked
    .

I have run through the Solutions on the troubleshooting page Xbox App Server Connectivity on Windows 10 Is Blocked
    without solving the problem.

Specifically, the Firewall is on and the Firewall policy is BlockInbound,AllowOutbound so Solution 1 is not the problem.

I am not using one of the known problem security programs listed in Solution 2. I am using Norton Internet Security on both computers. Yesterday, the server is only blocked on one of them and I can see no difference in the way Xbox is treated.

The four key services identified in Solution 3 are enabled and set at their default values.

I just thought that I would let you know that I have finally solved this problem. I used a commercial system management program that was reviewed highly by PC magazine. After its Registry cleanup routine finished, I checked and the problem has disappeared.
