    Connectivity problem with contoller


    I recently got a new Xbox One X. Whenever I try to turn on my Xbox by turning on the controller, the Xbox turns on normally and goes to the Home screen, but the controller keeps flashing its light and doesn't connect. I have to take the batteries out and
    plug them in again, and then the controller works as normal, no issues whatsoever. I understand that this is a very minor problem, but it still gets pretty annoying.

    I had a One S earlier, and whenever I turned on the controller, the Xbox turned on and the controller stayed connected, and I didn't have to remove and reinsert the batteries again. It worked very well for the past few years, and still does. But why is there
    a problem with the controller not connecting on startup on my new Xbox?

    try to play with your controller on another xbox

    if your controller is broken then no one can help you and you need to repair or buy new one

    But this is getting quite
    annoying that every few months I have to go out and but a new controller because of the cheap products MS makes.
    In general, the controllers are fairly well built. I've had a few with the issue you describe, but most are fine.



    You could try alternative wired controllers. Razer's Onza comes to mind.
