Connections (possibly host) and their speeds

I was playing GoW team death match the other day and I was the host. Then this guy showed up and got brutalized by me a few times so he sends me a message and starts whining about lag and connection speed (as usual). So I replied to him telling him to live
with it.

And then he sends me another message which was a bit of shock to me.

He told me what my connection speed was, my upload, download and my service provider and surprisingly all true.

Does anyone know how to do this? How do you see the connections and their speed? Was it just me or he could see everyone elses too? Is it just GoW or could be other games too?

Report and block player. Change passwords. They are trying to hack you. Do not go into a party chat with them.

That's a little worrisome, since nobody but you should be able to see your connection details.

I'd send him a message back asking how he obtained those details, and if he doesn't respond or mentions hacking you (doubtful), then I'd report him and then contact support.

I've never been able to look up those details on GoW or any other game.

P2P connections can be great if you have a wicked @@@ connection speed and frequently get to be host as a result. Host advantage makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

^^Unless,Only the host is connected to the Xbox servers and the rest of the lobby is connected only to the host?Hence it would still be possible for the host to have a 3 bar if he had a poor connection.

as you're connected to a server that's close to you, your connection quality will typically be quite good. There'd be no need in this case to upgrade.
