Connection to the lobby interrupted

For some weeks I have problems with the multiplayer lobbies. I often and irregularly lose the connection to the lobby. It happens while I'm racing, it happens when the races are over. Every second to third race happens.

I've uninstalled Forza and reinstalled, I've made several hard resets with the XboxOne, I've set the Xbox to factory defaults. Nothing helped.

My console is connected with a LAN cable to the router. My NAT is open. All XBox Live Ports are open.

What else can I do?

No other Game have this Problems.

Firmware: 6.80

Region: Germany/Saarland

ISP: Telekom VDSL2

Download: 89 Mbit/s

Upload: 37 Mbit/s

Latency: 150-170ms (XBox Test) / other ping Tests 20-40ms

Include the make and model of your router and modem, along with any troubleshooting steps that you've taken so far.

Hey Mister Fizzle,

Yes the device I listed above is the only one I have , it came from my ISP Century link. I have tried the above suggestions and nothing seems to work. I like where your heads at I actually did look up the firmware and it does have the latest installed. Sometimes
now when I start my xbox up my wireless antenna that's plugged in to the USB port on the back doesn't turn on. I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to kick on. So I'm still wondering could it maybe be the USB port?

The stats look okay, the latency is a bit high though. We'd recommend getting that latency to below 150ms. Let's have you try this

i have tried the guide. i did the Speed test. Server was located in Washington, DC. Results: 114ms latency. Seattle: 196ms.

 

Thanks for doing that, are you seeing the issue happen in all games or just in Forza? Which Forza game or games are you seeing the problem with.

no problem. That is exactly the point, the problem which I have is only with Forza. All other games work normally. I play Forza 6.

 

Okay, and have you tried to use a Wi-Fi connection to the Router to see if that had any effect? Is it just the Fritzbox you're using, or do you have any other network hardware as well that you're using with this setup?

No, with Wi-Fi I have not tested it, but I will do that.

In the normal case, the xbox one is connected to the FritzBox with a Gigabit switch (TP-Link model no. TL-SG1005D). But I had already tested a direct connection, so XBox One without switch to FritzBox.

Unfortunately with the same result.

But even if that would influence the result, why only at Forza? What is different in Forza than in other games?

 

Some games need specific ports open, having a direct connection to the modem will allow for all ports to be open also sometimes there is known hardware issues with network devices that can cause problems. Do you have IPv6 enabled on the router by chance?
You should also have a setting for Teredo Filter, is this On or Off currently? We want to try to turn that filter Off and disable IPv6 next to see if that helps out.

Hello and apologize for the long break.

-WLAN test brought no positive results.

-ja, IPv6 connection is switched on (XBox One displays IPv4 & IPv6)

-Teredo filter is switched off (but it was also always switched off)

IPv6 off, I will still try and report. But I still wonder a bit, you say "some games need specific ports", why is Forza the only one of my games? I do not understand it entirely.

What I will still try to move Forza from the external HDD to the internal, and see if it is perhaps because of it.

 

Hello again. Since a few days I now test Forza 6, with deactivated IPv6. It seems like that really solves the problem.

So far so good.

Nevertheless, for me the question remains why only Forza 6? That does not make sense.

And please install (ping test, Forza) server in Europe. We can still hope.

 

It's hard to say, but it could be that there is an issue with IPv6 and the Fritzbox that hasn't been discovered yet. Since it's working without IPv6, we'd suggest leaving the connection like this until a firmware update is released for the network device
before trying it again to see if it's fixed. Glad that solved the problem though in the meantime!

OK. we will see. I will keep it in mind. I have to go back to the relatively high ping. If you read in the turn 10 forum, you can see with many European players that they fight in Forza with a high ping. The
Microsoft recommended 150ms are often exceeded. Are the servers only in North America?

I have spoken with AVM and AVM has provided me an updated firmware which should eliminate the problem. But also without success.

I can not really believe it should be because of it. I think the Forza / Turn10 has the problem. As I said, every game works, except Forza.

So Forza has to do something different from all my other games.

Of course, I can disable IPv6, but quite honestly, I would not want to do without basic functions of my Internet connection only because of a single game. Of 80 other games on my hard drive which do not make problems.

The other problem is that I passionately like to play Forza and do not want to do without. Forza was the reason to buy me a console.
