Connection to home wireless internet problems

Alright for the past 24 hours I have been unable to connect my Xbox 360 to the internet. During the Xbox Live Connection Test, I don't receive an error at all, in fact I don't get any kind of message. I left the test running for about ten minutes and the
whole time it showed it was searching for my home wireless internet. I have tried a lot of the suggestions on other forums, such as clearing the cache and restoring the wireless internet to factory settings. However nothing changes the fact it just sits there
searching for the internet. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Why when i test my xbox live connection does it say its working, but it doesn't?

How are you connecting to the internet? Are you using a wired connection, or a wireless (WiFi)? I had a console where a WiFi connection would give me occasional problems, so you would want to check that out.

Connection is either wireless or wired. Wired connection problems means that your internet is just slow. Wireless may mean that you need a better wireless router- solution could be to get a new one or to move your xbox console to a room closer to router.
Or again internet is just slow. I had similar problems 2 years ago, but it was the Internet providers fault, I switched providers and haven't had a problems since.
