    Hi, I just bought a Motorola SURFboard SB6141. After installing it I ran a connection test with my xbox 360. All test pass, however it's saying my NAT setup is moderate.

    I checked and my modem is a bridge and not a gateway. It's only a gateway if it's disconnected from the ISP servers, and then it can act as a DHCP server. So I think the xbox is getting confused and thinks I have NAT enable on both my router and modem, but
    actually only my router has NAT enabled. Hence the message.

    So far I haven't had any connection problems, but I haven't played much since installing the new modem. I'll post back later if I have any issues.

    Has anyone seen this issue as well?

    Yes a moderate nat will effect you.

    Sometimes running a connection test opens it

    problem with xbox live.connected.than disconnected,live partyand private chatt doesnot work.all this after buying a new 360 250 gb and reoploading my gamertag

    Hi Nicolas! Are you able to run a connection test and determine what your NAT is reporting? Is it open, strict, or moderate? Strict or moderate NAT would make it difficult to connect to some players.

    Run a test of your Xbox Live connection. This sounds like an NAT issue, let us know if the test gives you a NAT status of Moderate or Strict.
