Connection test doesn't fail it just never ends

it fails right when it tries to connect to xbox live.

When I hit test connection, the adapter connects to the router, but doesn't connect to the internet, so it can connect to Live. That's where it fails.

Sorry about the multiple threads. I'm not getting an error code it just sits there on the first part of the test connection to xbox live. The white dots just keep flashing green on the xbox to wifi part and it never connects or fails.

When I test connection the first step doesn't stop running. Because it doesn't fail I don't get a status code.

The network test continually runs. It doesn't stop. I have let the test run for 2+ hours and nothings happened. The test never passes (or fails) the first stage. The only time that the test stopped was when I pressed stop.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this doesn't really answer the question. I have the update and it has been applied. I get a connection error and then this error message. I think that this error may be slightly misleading.

Something additional... I tried to test my Xbox live connection this morning and my network and internet connection tested successfully, but the Xbox live connection failed. As soon as it got to that step, I got the error above and that was the end of
it. If I rollback the latest patch that I applied, I just get a download error.

Still looking for a solution... or a big enough hammer.
