Connection problems

Recently I was having problems of live disconnecting and connecting frequently as well as my two controllers doing the same even while connected and my new headset not working either. I was unsure if it was an Xbox problem or controller problem i did post
a question on the forum for accessories but did not get an answer so I just bought a new pad with the charge kit and it has worked fine and the headset works although I am yet to try it not wired. The problem now is I cannot connect online. I found if I reset
the mac address it connects for a minute or two so because my xbox is upstairs and my router is downstairs I used somthing that plugs into the wall and router and then into the wall and xbox so the connection is wired am not sure the actual name of this.
The problem now is although I stay connected when i try to use netflix it syncs data the stops working, FIFA cant connect to servers. This made me think connecting this way leads to a poor connection so i tried to watch a random 2 min video on youtube and
it worked for 1 min in poor quality before shuting youtube down and disconnecting before connecting back instantly.

Sorry for long post but the none wireless pad I can live with but not having live is a big annoyance when it costs a lot. So is there anyway to fix this without running wires through the house to use a connected connection ? thanks.

Smartglass connection problems

Hello all,

I've searched the Internet and can't find a solution to my issue. I can't get Smartglass to connect to my console over my wi-fi network . I have the app installed on my Xoom and Razr. I have Smartglass enabled on my console. I can't connect using either device. Eventually, I get a message saying "Unable to locate my console". I can, however, connect with my phone over 4g. Is there a setting on my router that needs to be changed? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Connection problem - HELP

Hey guys,
So it's been about a year since I bought my Xbox 360 (newer generation), and my Xbox Live connection works 2 days out of 3. I use wireless connection. My Xbox is pretty far from my router, but when I connect to a network, my router shows up and there are usually around 4 bars. When I click on "test connection", this is where it tells me that the console is unable to connect.
Did anyone had this problem before?

Do you also receive a specific error message or code? It can really help us identify the root cause of this issue and provide appropriate troubleshooting steps for this case.

May I know as well the distance of the console and your router?

Hello there, it seems to me that you need a gold account. And right now as we speak your account is a silver account this might be why you are facing all these issues you are seeing with your xbox.

 

Sorry for taking so long to reply I was able to connect wirelessly after removing my ethernet cable it still disconnects every so often but not as bad the controller still has to stay connected. It was the xbox one and my other account on the xbox do have
gold.

 

Hello there im having the same problem with my xbox one. My internet connection goes off when im playing a game then comes back on after its kicked me out, its not my rounter as my laptop is still connected to the internet when this happens.

 

If you play p2p games and your router has something like DDOS Protection it sometimes thinks your xbox get DDOSED because of the p2p connection.

Try to disable your routers DDOS connection an be sure you run the latest Firmware for your router.

If you can't connect to servers I would try to use a different DNS Server.

In network settings of your xbox you can use google DNS Servers:

8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

developers.google.com/.../public-dns

 

Problems come back yet again going to try the DNS server if my controller stops freezing

 

So far changing the DNS has worked thanks

 

Turn Xbox off and all the same problems are back

 

Now controller keeps disconnecting again.This is getting so frustrating now if you won't let me connect online at least let me use it offline what a joke. Pay for the Xbox, pay for the controllers, pay for headsets, pay for gold and I can't even play the
thing how difficult it can be when phones and skyboxes and tablets and computers can all connect easily but the most expensive thing is just rubbish and unplayable for half the time

 

Go offline forget wireless network controller connected and it still freezes. 4 different controllers 3 different wires yet when connected to the internet all of the controllers work fine

 

Stupid thing is unplayable am sure Microsoft do all this put certain life spans on headsets and controllers and consoles so you have to buy replacements and keeping giving them more money same with the 360 when you get red rings of death and buy a new console.
The amount of money Microsoft have got since the 360 came out is a joke.
