    Connection problems please help


    So for about just over a week my xbox live has been really dodgy what happens is I can be in a game or even on the dashboard and I'll just randomly disconnect for but only for a couple of seconds and almost straight away it will recconect but it's a problem
    because it will kick me out if the game and party if I'm in one, talked to xbox support in Twitter and everything they suggested didn't there is also no problem with my internet need urgent help don't want to have to get rid of my xbox

    Connection Problems! Please help

    My Xbox "cannot obtain an IP address". I tried to manually enter the IP, subnet and gateway but it gave a new error. Something with hardware and the static IP.

    It does work when I directly on it to my router or wireless router. When I plug it into my connected laptop, it does not work. (This usually works)

    Is this my xbox or my router/wireless router?

    I dont know much about this stuff, but I'm smart enough to follow directions.

    make sure you have the 4 ports open in your hub/router for xbox live play lots of these are not set for xbox live out of the box will also fix Nat problems

    OP, first - what is your NAT setting?

    try rebooting your router and then do an xbox live connection test.

    Also, try clearing you system cache.

    These steps will often change the NAT setting from moderate or strict to open.

    .

    Can you play other games online?

    Are you posting with a different gt than trying to play? Because the gt you are posting with is silver.

    If that doesn't help, please provide the following info:

    What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Modem brand & model number:

    Router brand & model number:

    Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired

    If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using?

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

    Is NAT Type Open?

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

    What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G?

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

    After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?
