Connection problem between Network and Internet when testing Xbox Live connection

I am just going to flat out put everything I know so far.

I am trying to connect to Xbox live through my PC, ethernet cable from my pc to xbox 360. When testing connection to Xbox Live it says that NAT error and I indeed do have strict NAT. Even though I have strict NAT I am still connected to Xbox Live and signed
in.

Just to clarify what my screen looks like when the test is done:

but how is that even possible? This page doesn't even have such an error: Xbox 360 Can't Connect to Xbox Live

I am using Sierra Wireless Aircard 762S, it's my router that is connected with an USB to my PC and gives connection.

I've tried port forwarding my router from its settings but it doesn't let me do anything also turned on UPnP and nothing. I don't really want to call my ISP DNA (Finnish internet service provider) since their customer support service is really expensive...

live connection

when testing Xbox Live connection i get,

Network: Connected

Internet: Failed

Xbox Live: Blocked

why? Help please...

Sorry to hear about the connection issues. To clarify, you are still able to connect to Xbox Live through your Xbox 360 console even if you have a strict NAT, you just may run into multiplayer issues down the road. What kind of games are you looking to play?
If connecting to Xbox Live to play multiplayer games is your goal, I would suggest connecting to a router instead of an Aircard as that would give you a more stable connection along with an open NAT.

Hello Mister Beep! I am able to connect to xbox live and even play. Just cannot connect to my friends games which is a big bummer for me. I have some lag on my games but I am assuming that's mostly because of my connection anyways. I've been playing Halo
4 and Halo: Reach.

If I am correct I can use the router in this way: it will receive the Wi-Fi connection from my USB modem and then I can plug an ethernet cable from that router to my Xbox 360?

Unfortunately the Aircard doesn't quite behave like more common modems, and it will give you limited connections (stricter NAT types). Think of it as a phone connection compared to a home connection. I would strongly recommend contacting your ISP for a modem
you can use at home. Having a USB modem like yours is great for easy internet access, it just isn't the best for connecting online for Xbox Live gaming.

 

Might be but I don't think I can get one at the moment! I'll just have to play with Strict Nat it seems. My friend is using one of those Aircard devices but still gets open NAT. I guess his ISP has made sure that all ports are open for consoles. On my end
I can't even change port forward settings like I told in my first post. Well you got me the answer so thank you!
