Connection logs IN and logs right backout again. xbox 360

My XBOX has been working fine for the most part until I installed a new wireless router and modem units. I suspect that the now secure wireless login is what is failing but I don't know how to set that password since it asks questions about some mystery
thing called PPPoE?

All that happens now is that XBOX 360 acquires a new IP OK from the router upon startup then shows that 'xboxuser' is connected but shortly after that it shows xboxuser disconnected, The nerwork test fails at connection with the router.

Can't get smartglass to connect

ok so check it out... i got it working flawlessly while playing assasins creed4 and forza5

open xbox smart glass
login your email/password

the home screen thing will pop up. (you are not connected yet)
right next to the magnifying glass on the top right is a console with 3 bars above it.(click on this)

it will bring down a menu
you want to connect to: xbx-systemOS (when you are connectd it is highlighted in green)
below this after you log in click on the connect automatically/check it.

walla you are connected smartglass.

their is no indicator that pops up on screen that tells you you are logged in like on 360.

 

Xbox Live and hotel Wi-Fi via Ethernet?

I need to find a way to connect my Xbox 360 to the Wi-Fi at hotels, considering I go to one almost every month. I have a game review due by thursday and I need to get this internet working. The issue is, hotels usually take you to a website where you have to log in on a website to connect to the Wi-Fi. This makes the Xbox Live connection impossible if you're doing it through Wi-Fi....

But what if I logged into the Wi-Fi on my laptop and connected my Xbox 360 to the laptop via Ethernet Cable. I have Windows 7 so I'm guessing there's some Microsoft internet sharing option that's compatible with other Microsoft products.... right?
